Trends accessory design

The first person with whom I worked in the fashion domain, Lidewij Edelkoort, became since the major previsionnist at global level. Since more than thirty years she is defining on the very long term the societal évolution, lifestyle changings and its impact on various areas, especially fashion and more generally design, her interpretation, inspiration and feeling have really became prophetic!. When we met she was already working in a forecasting studio called "le Comité de la Mode", also spelled CIM supervised by Nelly Rodi, who will create later, her own agency.

Lidewij and me had affinities, I suppose, as we worked together repeatedly. I first collaborate with her for the CIM, designing accessories trend boards, during a few seasons, and then, we created together new trend books ordered by "la chambre syndicale de la bijouterie fantaisie" , I was making the jewel researches and drawings under her supervision, this for a few years. Later on, I was choosen by a forecasting agency named VOLCAN for the same work, jewels design in collaboration with the artistic director Helène Mansiat. We created a few collection together. COM EIGHT : High jewelery design

In 2006, I created a collection of jewellery, silver, gold and Diamonds for the well known streetwear brand COM-eight. The challenge was to decline the brand 's logos, one for men, another for women in different must have objects, and jewels, with an hip hop style close to it's clientele.  The logo itself was completely re-shaped with diamonds filling, gold or silver lining.. I imagine the whole declension of the brand, on different jewels supports, and also created an original design for each of the jewels or objects themselves. The original creator of the COM-8 collections is a French Rapper called Joey Starr, a very talented singer and composer, leader of french Rap with its first group NTM.,  He now makes  regular appearances in cinema

COM-EIGHT

Didier Morville, aka Joey Starr, is a rap singer, composer, producer and a French actor, been born on October 27th, 1967 in Saint-Denis. He was a member in duet with Kool Shen, of the group Supreme NTM, who made history of the rap and the rap hardcore French during the 1990’s. The group stopped in 1998, then re-formed ten years later in 2008

ABOUT COM8 :

The brand was founded in 1998 and operated in 2000 by the group NTM Joey Starr rapper and two associates (Roland Ragot, CEO of the brand, and Thierry Abitbol). The three original founders were later joined by Fabrice Allouche, former world champion kick-boxing. In 2009, the brand is present in 80 outlets in France.. Com8 was originally intended for young hip hop fans. She enjoys as a result of promotion by the two members of NTM on their tour in 1998. Adopted by many rappers around the group (starting with those of the group founded by JoeyStarr BOSS). Lead group regarding french Rap, and a good exposure in the media success quickly goes beyond the suburbs, thanks to a wider range... Com8 has urban artistic values of its own, and it highlights through its new collections.


Brand image

logo, jewels, packaging, accessories...

In 2007, seduced by the work I did in labelling and jewelery, I was choosen by one of its founder to design the logo, and other initials products, for a huge and beautiful store which opened in Miami this same year. The choosen name for this concept store was "Sex and... " (before the arrival of Mad Men and other serials, this one was THE hit), essentially dedicated to glamour for a feminine clientele on 550 m2 of a splendid fifties styled building on Miami Beach.

SEX &...

was conceived as an exclusive private store, and the owners wanted the logo designed as an expression of luxury, and I did conceived it as a jewel, and created a range of accessories & jewels declining it.. The store, which concept was quite unique, was brilliantly conceived, with 6 smaller sections where the designers where exposed like a piece of Art. This store featured a wide variety of items, to which no woman "specie" can resist, accessories, jewels, luxury sportswear items, lingerie, and pet accessories.
